OK, let’s get started. Welcome to my presentation about my profession in Advertising. I have more than seven years work experience in the Advertising field. “ Be the president or else a advertising guy.” President Roosevelt said. I read it from my first advertising book. I don’t want to be a president, but I am interested in Advertising. Advertisings show wonderful things in seconds by first class videos, music, stories, etc. I am sure you can recall some moving or sparkling advertisings. Sometimes people hope to live in the advertising scenes which are full of love and passion. That’s the magic of advertisings. Today I’d like to outline briefly Advertising industry and then talk about what I saw in this field. I’ll have some time at the end of my presentation for questions, so if you have any, I’ll be happy to answer them then. As you may know, there are many different types of advertisings. Let’s classify them by media. There are television commercials, radio commercials, Press Advertising, Outdoor Advertising, Online Advertising, Domain name advertising, Mobile Marketing. Different medias show different features, so advertisers choose different ways to market their products. Most influential mass media is television, however more and more advertising budget flow to Online Advertisings recent years. Now, let’s move onto the next point which are types of advertising agencies in the field. There are full service agencies, creative agencies, specialized agencies, digital agencies, social media agencies and so on. Internationally, the largest advertising conglomerates are WPP, Omnicom, Publicis and Interpublic. They have another name-“big four”. Ad agencies can be all sizes and include everything from one or two person studios to big fours we just mentioned. The main departments in Ad field are account services, creative, production and media buying. As for me, my previous job was in an advertising media agency.
